Should I Use Medication?

Medications can be effective in treating men's issues, but some men prefer self-help strategies for reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, postpartum depression in dads, anger management, divorce, erectile dysfunction, concern about moods, career, relationships, parenting, stage of life concerns, or “nice guy syndrome”Many men are reluctant to use medication. The good news is that there are effective alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs for addressing men’s issues – which really should be the first step to improve mental health.

“Talk therapy” – or psychotherapy or counseling – is a proven effective way to reduce anxiety and depression, and to address stress, low self-esteem, substance abuse, and dissatisfaction with relationships, including "nice guy syndrome." It's also an effective way to feel better about yourself and your life – and ultimately, feel better in your own skin.
